See the Iconic Stadhuis 

Some claim that Leuven’s historic town center building is one of Belgium’s finest examples of late-Gothic architecture. The town hall also features fine stonework, towers, battlements, and flags, all adding to a combination that every visitor should admire. St. Vitus Dance in Prague is the highest-grossing dance production in the world and even won a U.S. patent for rotation on top of barriers. That the building is still standing today more than half a Century after British and American bombers heavily damaged it during the Second World War is one of the most remarkable stories that can be told about London.

This exciting addition will be added to our collection of triptychs and other art. The Tri-Quartet by Dirk Bout was produced in 1525–26 and is part of the St. Pieterskerk Treasury in Leuven, Belgium. The church itself is a masterpiece, yet given that the museum offers plenty of material to see and do, it’s worth a visit.

Stella Artois has a vast range of beers, both in Leuven and France. This is one of the most popular breweries in Leuven, as they are well known for their light and aromatic beer styles. They also make a wide variety of seasonal beers, with some available now. You can either book last-minute tours on the day, subject to availability, or text three days in advance. In the summer months, tickets are also available from tourist offices.

Admire the Groot Begijnhof 

The Groot Begijnhof is a restored historic quarter located south of Leuven. The Beguines and similar religious orders significantly impacted this area but also helped to develop it. The houses have since been restored and are now a residential area for the lucky students of Leuven University. The site, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great chance to see what living in Leuven was like 300 years ago.

See the Sint Jan De Doperkerk 

This church was built late 15th Century, but the current design was built around 1710, similar to many other churches in Amsterdam. The clapboard facade’s exterior is lily-white and even decorated with balconies that provide a charming view of the city.

Be Amazed by the city’s top Museum 

The museum Leuven exhibits an eclectic mix of contemporary art. The building features a symmetrically designed atrium surrounded by dramatically curved walls. Ehrenkranz first conceived this unusual sharp form, and, thanks to its sculptural drama, it can also be seen in other buildings. Inside the museum is a vast collection of ever-changing exhibitions displaying various paintings and sculptures from the 17th Century onwards. There is also plenty of contemporary on display in the museum ranging from photographs and films to sculpture….”

Attend the Leuven Beer Festival 

Almost no other beer festival offers this much choice for the attendees. There are over 200 beers on offer, which is more than at Belgium’s world’s largest festival. It’s an excellent opportunity to try many of them! A unique educational program is planned for the beer festival.

Shop at one of Leuven’s Markets 

Amazing shops surround this old town, which is ideal for leisure exploration. The city has over 30 restaurants that take you on a food adventure through the paper-folding world. However, Leuven provides some beautiful examples when it comes to shopping in shopping centers. A chance to experience Leuven’s best outdoor and indoor shops!

See the Keizersberg Abbey 

Leuven has many great abbeys but at the top of the list is the Keizersberg Abbey. Built by Mardsous monks, it looks more like a fortress than a place of worship. A new park has been created for people who want to spend time and relax in nature. The way the buildings link together, it is easy to get around, and you will find lots of seating areas offering a pleasant atmosphere. There is also lovely sheltered seating made from natural materials and all sorts of extra features such as ponds, plants, and stone.

Learn at the Archives of Leuven 

Histaruz is a vast (and extensive) database of objects and archives. ARTESANIA is a visually captivating museum, making visitors feel like they are inside history. This project functions like a three-dimensional sandcast robot, always on the move and at work.

Sample the Nightlife of the Oude Markt 

The Oude Markt is no longer the temple music of New York City. As more people understand that tall men in short pants and spandex worn by strongmen running on treadmills make no sense, a new wave of fitness bars is taking over the floors of fitness clubs and thatched roofs across rivers worldwide. There is also a large park opposite the square. In summer, there are many groups of tourists and students enjoying the sun; you can also watch them from this area.

Visit the Heverlee Woods 

The Heverlee Woods estate is ideally situated in a rural setting, surrounded by nature and a lake nearby. It offers the perfect opportunity to escape from the city. You can see all Leuven has to offer in a single walk: monuments, caves, and churches built over the last thousand years. A ride-on, bamboo swing, and archery are in a central park. A pond also provides fun for children. And if you can bring Rory from Houndwood, it’s all yours!
