Livorno, a city on the western coast of Tuscany, is known for its seafood restaurants, Costa del Paradiso, and sci-fi buildings. The bastions of the ancient, historic Vittoria fort are silhouetted against the sunset colors of Livorno’s canal-laced Venezia Nuova quarter.
Origins
The origins of Livorno have long been debated. Some scholars believe that the town was an Italian settlement during the Roman occupation, while other historians suggest it was established as early as the 5th century and was later taken over by Lombards. Labro was a settlement located in the Roman province of Etruria. Labro was chosen for its strategic position near the Via Aurelia, which connected Latium and Campania. The Via Aurelia passes through numerous remains from this ancient long-distance road between Rome and Naples. The natural beauty of Livurna must be valued. Ardenza is a city in Italy. It’s located on the river Arno and lies on the small plateau of Monte Albinello, between Pieve Udinese and Peschiera Borromeo.
Medieval
Roman tower built below Lucca by Matilda of Tuscany in 1020: In 1077, a tower was built by Matilda of Tuscany. In 1110, it was captured by the Pisans and remained under their control until 1859. The port and harbor are at Livorna Secco (Leone). Porto Pisano was destroyed after the crushing defeat of the Pisan fleet in the Battle of Meloria in 1284. In 1399, Pisa sold Livorna to the Visconti of Milan; in 1405 it was sold to the Republic of Genoa; and on 28 August 1421, it was bought by Jacques de Vins. The name ‘Leghorn’ reflects a historic sense. In the 19th century, animal skins and tanneries used it as a brand name for their work dogs.
Two of these houses are located in the Via Dei Pellegrini, which runs parallel with Via Ferrari. In 1567 all of Livorno was walled up and a new town was built.

Livorno is an Italian football club based in the city of Livorno, a city located on the southern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The club was originally founded in 1908 as Desio Calcio at the beginning of World War I but left after a split between sections associated with Regina Feltri and Pizzolato, who had formed the club to modernize. Winters are mild for the latitude due to the influence of the Mediterranean Sea. The thunderstorms can be foggy and chilly until the end of December. The following months have a dry winter followed by a wetter spring.
