Musée International de la Parfumerie

Grasse, as we said, is the birthplace of French perfumery. Several of these fragrances are created from raw materials grown in flower farms nourished by Grasse’s microclimate and abundant water supply. Locally grown jasmine, tuberose, may rose, violets, and orange blossoms can be found.

This ochre-walled mansion was built by the Marquis of Cabris, Jean-Paul de Clapiers, a distant relative of Count Mirabeau, one of the key players during the French Revolution.
