Glenmorangie Signet shows the rich, modern side of Highland whisky. It uses a share of roasted “chocolate” malt, barley kilned to a deep roast that brings espresso, cocoa, and toasted biscuit notes. Maturation in American oak and select new charred casks adds toffee, orange zest, and gentle baking spice over silky malt. The first sip delivers dark chocolate and coffee cream, then brown sugar, clove, and a touch of citrus. The finish is long and warming at 46% ABV, with lingering cocoa and oak.
Pour it neat after dinner, or add a few drops of water to open more orange and spice. It pairs nicely with dark chocolate or pecan tart.
